Slovak Institute

The Slovak Institute (Slovak Slovenský Inštitút ) is the cultural institute of Slovakia . It is subordinate to the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of the Slovak language and culture.

The first Slovak Institute was founded in Vienna in 1994 . This was followed by foundings in Berlin (1997), Rome (2002) and Paris (2001). There are also institutes in Budapest , Moscow , Prague and Warsaw . These offer a wide range of events through which the cultural contacts between Slovakia and the partner countries are to be intensified.
