Armin Biehler (born June 30, 1967 in Hanover ) is a Swiss filmmaker.

Life

From 1985 to 1989 Armin Biehler worked as an assistant director in the cellar theater on Auersberg in Vienna . During that time he studied philosophy, theater studies and geography at the University of Vienna. After returning to Basel, he began an apprenticeship as a polymechanic at the LWB Basel. From 1993 he studied ethnology, film studies and economic and social history at the University of Zurich and graduated with a licentiate. He then worked as a news editor and producer at Telebasel and founded the production company biehler.film in 2000. In 2007 he released his first feature film, Chicken Mexicaine . This was followed in 2016 by his essayistic feature film Venez avec moi , also produced by biehler.film .

Since 2009 he has been working as a bicycle courier at Metropol and later at the KurierZentrale. Armin Biehler writes regularly as a freelancer for TagesWoche and the Basellandschaftliche Zeitung .
