Hans Peter Schlumpf (born July 13, 1953 , † May 22, 2008 in Slovenia ) was a Swiss politician of the Free Democratic Party .

biography

Hans Peter Schlumpf came from a family in the fourth generation in Hünenberg that in the manufacturing technology active family Schlumpf AG led with 35 employees and is a great-grandson of the company founder and inventor Johann Georg Schlumpf . As a business economist and head of a company, he was a committed business representative and most recently a board member of the Zug Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he presided over the college for naturopathic and homeopathic medicine.

He was a member of the FDP of the canton of Zug . He was first elected to the Zug cantonal parliament in 1995, was then re-elected three times and died in office. As a cantonal parliamentarian, he last chaired the civil engineering commission.

Hans Peter Schlumpf died on May 22, 2008 in a motorcycle accident in Slovenia . He was married and had three children.
