Smart repair

Smart Repair is a collective term for repair methods that are used to remove minor damage to motor vehicles . Such repairs are less expensive than traditional methods. The abbreviation SMART stands for Small Middle Area Repair Technologies , i.e. repair techniques for small to medium-sized areas.

Examples

  • Plastic repairs with a reproduction of the original surface structure, e.g. B. with burn marks or drill holes in the dashboard
  • Pressing out or pulling out dents in sheet metal with special tools ( paint damage-free dent removal technique )
  • Paint repair using spot repair
  • Upholstery repair with the best possible reproduction of the original color
  • Glass repair, e.g. B. when falling rocks outside the main field of view of the windshield
