The Chinese company Smart Union is the world's largest toy manufacturer. Based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region , it is a supplier to toy manufacturers Mattel and Disney, among others .

The Holding Smart Union Group (Holdings) Limited is a listed company on the Cayman Islands registered.

In a press release in October 2008, the company announced that it had filed for bankruptcy. The global financial crisis from 2007 and scandals about safety defects in toys from the Far East have driven the company to ruin .
