Celtic tribes in Scotland

The Smertae were a Celtic tribe in northern Scotland known only from Ptolemy Geographia . From the description of their neighboring tribes it can be concluded that their area was in today's Sutherland , but Ptolemy does not name any capital or core area of ​​the tribe. According to Ptolemy, they were adjacent to the Cornovii , Lugi, and Caereni .
