Smigliai
Smigliai is a place in the district of Zujūnai of the district municipality of Vilnius , 4.5 km west of the Lazdynai district of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . The village is located in the geomorphology -Schutzgebiet Grioviai , on the right bank of the Neris . To the north of the village is the Giruliai forest. The Gudeliai – Bieliūnai road goes through Smilgiai. 49 inhabitants lived here in Soviet Lithuania (1979). Now there are 19 residents (as of 2011). The name Smigliai ( Szmigle ) probably comes from the Polish word śmigły ("tall, slim").
