Smith Westerns is an indie rock band from Chicago , Illinois . It consists of Cullen Omori, Cameron Omori and Max Kakacek. The music was influenced by David Bowie , Marc Bolan and T. Rex .
history
On June 5, 2009 they released their debut album The Smith Westerns on the HoZac Records label . On November 4, 2010 , they released the single Weekend . This song can also be found on the album Dye It Blonde , released on January 18, 2011 . From 2011 to 2012 Smith Westerns are the opening act for the English indie rock band Arctic Monkeys .
