The Snorre peak is about 800 m high and cone-shaped mountain on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises about 1.4 km southwest of Lake Aviemore on the Barff Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009. It is named after the Snorre , one of the first three whalers to operate from the Godthul from 1909 onwards .
