Soazig Aaron

Soazig Aaron (* 1949 in Rennes , France ) is a French writer .

Life

After studying history, Aaron worked in a Paris bookstore for a few years . Today she lives in Brittany .

It wasn't until 2002 that Aaron's first publication, Le NON de Klara Soazig, appeared. In the fictional diary novel, the French and non-Jewish tells the fate of Clare, an Auschwitz survivor who returned to Paris in 1945 and who refuses to lead a “normal life” again.

For Le NON de Klara , Aaron received the “Bourse Goncourt du Premier Roman” award and the “Prix Emmanuel Roblès” from the French city of Blois in 2002 . Both awards are given for first novels.

The book was first published in German in 2003 under the title Klaras NEIN . In 2004 Klaras NOIN was awarded the Geschwister-Scholl-Preis of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels (Bavarian State Association).
