The Inden solar park is a photovoltaic park in Inden . The park, which went into operation at the end of 2011, has a calculated maximum output of 3.9 MW in the Watt Peak model and, as of December 2011, was the largest solar power plant in North Rhine-Westphalia .
16,236 solar modules were installed on an area of 10 hectares on a former household waste dump in the municipality of Inden, within sight of the Weisweiler power plant . The individual solar modules are 99 × 164 cm in size and aligned exactly at an angle of 30 degrees to the south. Within six months, 9.84 million euros were built here, 57.67% of which was borne by Rurenergie GmbH (belongs to the Düren district ) and 42.33% by F&S solar concept from Euskirchen. The actual construction time was eight weeks.
