Solid Shoes is a Kosovar shoe manufacturer and distributor based in Suhareka . The company exports shoes to other European countries. It is one of the largest shoe manufacturers in the region and one of the largest expoteurs in Kosovo, as well as the largest private employer in Suhareka. The more than 330 employees produce over 600,000 pairs of shoes each year.

history

The company began as a family business in 1992 with the sale of shoes, in 1996 the company also switched to the production of shoes and from then on ran the first private shoe factory in Kosovo. During the Kosovo war this workshop was completely destroyed in 1999, after the war the company was rebuilt together with a larger production hall.

In 2016, Solid Shoes was criticized for exporting to the Serbian military . The company then declared that it was exporting to all of Europe and Serbia ; however, no special models for Serbian security forces would be produced.

Products

Solid Shoes manufactures leather shoes for women and men. In 2014, the company signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian shoe manufacturer Leo Shoes. The company's shoes are exported to Italy and sold there under this label.

Solid Shoes works with several European companies, including the shoe manufacturer GEOX .
