Sometimes a song of synth-pop - duo Erasure , which they released in October 1986 as the fourth single whole.

After three less successful singles from the debut album Wonderland, the duo Erasure achieved their international breakthrough with the song Sometimes. The song reached number 1 in the South African single charts and number two in the British single charts , the Dutch single charts and the German single charts . In the US , Sometimes came to # 4 on the Hot Dance Club Play Charts.

Written and composed by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell, Sometimes shows the typical Erasure sound - a fast, danceable melody, accentuated by Clarke's analog synthesizer and Bell's singing about being in love.

The music video shows the band on the rooftop of a building with Vince Clarke playing an acoustic guitar and Andy Bell singing as they dance through white ceilings hanging from clotheslines .

Cover versions of this song exist of Drop the Bomb (within a megamix, 1990), Condition Icon (1998), Dressed in White (1999) and And One (live version, 2009).
