Sommerbergalm
The Sommerbergalm is an intermediate station of the glacier railways on the Hintertux Glacier . The Sommerbergalm is located at 2100 meters above sea level and is the first intermediate station of the glacier lifts.
Feeder cable cars
The Sommerbergalm can be reached with two cable cars. The Funitel Gletscherbus 1 and the 8- seater Sommerberg cable car . Two cable cars start from the Sommerbergalm towards Tuxer Fernerhaus . That is the 4-seater one-cable gondola cableway Fernerhaus and the Funitel-Gletscherbus 2. These cableways are in operation all year round, but both parallel systems only run when needed. winter
In the winter season, the Sommerbergalm serves as the starting point for the Sommerberg winter ski area. The winter ski area is a few meters higher and can be reached via an escalator, where the Tuxerjoch 4-seater chairlift and the Ramsmoos drag lift are located. Slopes 15, 16 and 17 end at the Sommerbergalm, all of which have an easy level of difficulty. The Funslope Hintertux starts at the mountain station of the Tuxerjoch chairlift. The Kidsslope Hintertux starts at the mountain station of the Ramsmoos tow lift. The 6-seater Sommerberg chairlift also ends at the Sommerbergalm, which does not open its own slopes, but only as a return from slope 2, because a return from the Tuxer Fernerhaus to the Sommerbergalm by ski would not be possible without this facility, because, seen from the Tuxer Fernerhaus, is not possible In front of the Sommerbergalm there is a valley cut, which is spanned by the Funitel with a longer span, the 4-seater gondola lift leads down into the depression and at the end again up.
