Somsak Sithchatchawal ( Thai สม ศักดิ์ ศิษย์ ชัชวาล ย์ , RTGS Somsak Sit-chat-wan , real name: Somsak Tasit ( สม ศักดิ์ ต๊ะ สิทธิ์ ); born July 17, 1977 in Lampang Province , Northern Thailand ) is a former Thai boxer in Super bantamweight .

In 1995 Somsak made his professional debut against Hernfa Kiatvichien. On March 18, 2006, he defeated Mahyar Monshipour by technical knockout in the 10th round and was thereby WBA world champion. However, he lost this title in his first title defense to Celestino Caballero in October of the same year.
