Song Duanzong
Duanzong ( Chinese 端 宗 , Pinyin Duānzōng ; * 1268 ; † 1278 ) was the 17th emperor of the Song Dynasty and thus the 8th and penultimate emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty. He was enthroned as a child emperor when the Mongols had already conquered large parts of China and were preparing to take the remaining areas in the south. He "ruled" over the Empire of China from 1276 to 1278.
