Song Wendi
Song Wendi ( Chinese 宋文帝 , Pinyin Sòng Wéndì , Jyutping Sung 3 Man 4 dai 3 - "Emperor Wen of the Earlier Song Dynasty "), birth name Liu Yilong ( 劉義隆 / 刘义隆 ), ruled from 424 to 452. He was the third Son of the founder of the Song Wudi dynasty . After the death of his father in 422, Liu Yilong's eldest brother Liu Yifu ascended the throne. In 424 he was murdered by conspirators and Liu Yilong was proclaimed emperor.
During the 28 years of his reign, Emperor Wen continued his father's policies and, in part, the land policies of the Jin Dynasty . The period, also known as the "Yuanjia Administration" ( 元嘉 之 治 ), is considered to be an economic and military boom.
