The partial solar eclipse of November 13, 1993 was observed in southeast Australia and New Zealand, in Patagonia and in Antarctica. In South Australia , the full course of the eclipse could not be observed because the sun did not rise until the eclipse. Likewise in Patagonia , where the sun set partially eclipsed. High degrees of coverage of over 50% were only achieved in the uninhabited southern polar region.
