The solar eclipse of October 24, 1995 was a total solar eclipse in which the central line stretched from Iran over India and Thailand, and then, north past Indonesia, far into the western Pacific. Up to the maximum in the South China Sea north of the large island Kalimantan , the umbra of the moon moved over densely populated areas, after that it only went over the sea except for small islands. Thus this solar eclipse was observed almost exclusively at the local morning time.
