The Sonnensee is a small reservoir in Ritzing in Burgenland .

The lake is located on the southern slope of the Ödenburger Mountains and was created by damming the Kuchelbach . It can be reached from Ritzing via a well-developed road that then leads over the Ödenburg Mountains to Brennberg .

Today there is a 42,000 m² leisure facility at the Sonnensee and the water is used as a bathing lake.
