Sony UI

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sony UI is a user interface that was developed by Sony for its own smartphones . Sony UI is not licensed to third parties .

The latest version of Sony UI runs on almost all newer Sony branded smartphones and tablets . By default, five different home screens are offered in the Sony UI.

In addition to the typical Sony Playstation connection options, Sony also offers the Stamina mode . For example, when the battery is low, it is possible to only dim the screen, deactivate WLAN or do both.

Operating concept

Since the Xperia Z supports Miracast , the UI offers special adaptations here. Coupling via Miracast takes place via NFC , so compatible devices recognize the mobile phone's screen and display it with a WLAN connection. There is also a shortcut in the UI for this to quickly get to the menu .

Widgets

Widgets can be created in a number of ways. Sony brings its own tools such as XPERIA Link, Music Unlimited or "Mirror Screen" with it.
