Soy Kim

Sooja Kim (* 1957 in Taegu , South Korea , known as Kimsooja ) is a South Korean artist.

Kim has lived in New York City since 1998 . From 1992 to 1993 she was Artist in Residence at the PS 1 Contemporary Art Center . She had numerous solo exhibitions, including a. 2001 in the Kunsthalle Bern , 2000 in the Rodin Gallery in Seoul and in the NTT InterCommunication Center (ICC) in Tokyo and 1997 in Le Magasin in Grenoble .

In 2013 she was involved in the Korean pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale . In 2015 she was awarded the Ho Am Prize .
