Sophie Gilliat-Ray

Sophie Gilliat-Ray (* 6. May 1969 ) is Professor of Theological Studies focusing Islam and Director of the Center for the Study of Islam in the UK at the University of Cardiff (Engl. Cardiff University ) in Cardiff , Wales .

Her research interests include Islam and Muslims in the UK, pastoral care and religious professionals, religion in public life and in institutions.

She is one of the trustees of Cambridge Muslim College .

She is one of the signatories of the Amman Message ( Amman Message ).

In 2013 she received the Muslim Council of Wales Achievement Award .
