Sophie Lorain (born November 20, 1957 in Canada ) is a Canadian actress .

Life and accomplishments

Sophie Lorain is a daughter of the director Denise Filiatrault and the actor Jacques Lorain . She studied at the Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in England and then trained at the Theater Francais de Toronto . The actress made her debut in the Canadian drama Il était une fois dans l'est, shot in French in 1974. She starred in the comedy Scandale (1982).

In the sports comedy Home Team (1998), Lorain played one of the bigger roles alongside Steve Guttenberg . From 2001 to 2004 she appeared in the television series Fortier , which she co-produced. In the literary adaptation Maman Last Call (2005) she took on one of the leading roles. Lorain was honored with the MetroStar Prize in 1998, 2001 and 2002 as a female personality . She has a son.
