Sorghof refers to a place in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria . Today Sorghof is part of the city of Vilseck .

history

After the NSDAP regime had pushed the armament of the Wehrmacht from 1935 onwards , the area of ​​the Grafenwöhr military training area was greatly expanded from 1936 to 1938 and the "Reich resettlement company RUGES" was founded. In the area that was affected by the expansion of the military training area, 780 families with over 3,500 people lived in 58 towns and hamlets. From July 1937, building land was made available on the site of the Obersorghof, which had previously existed at this point, and the replaced Altneuhaus property for the people affected by the expansion of the military training area, and it was divided into 44 original parcels. Until its incorporation in 1971, Sorghof belonged to the municipality of Langenbruck . On August 19, 1951, a long-cherished wish of the population was fulfilled with the inauguration of the newly built Sacred Heart Church.
