The Sosbun Brakk is a mountain in the Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory Gilgit-Baltistan .
The Sosbun Brakk has a height of 6413 m and is located south of the Biafogletscher . The mountain, together with Spantik 55 km to the west, gives its name to the Spantik-Sosbun Mountains .
Ascent history
In 1976 a German expedition attempted to climb it. Finally, in 1981 a four-man Japanese expedition succeeded in making the first ascent over the southwest ridge from the south. On July 4, 1981, Hisao Hashimoto and Norichika Matsumoto reached the summit.
