Sosigenes (sculptor)
Sosigenes ( ancient Greek Σωσιγένης ) was an ancient Greek sculptor .
No more works of Sosigenes have survived today, and no information has been passed on about him either. Today he is only known from an inscription from the base of a statue, which was found in Kyzikos , where he is likely to have worked. The signing inscription names him as the son of a Eucrates. A more precise dating allows neither the base nor the inscription.
