Souhail Belkassem (born January 18, 1996 in Tegelen ) is a Dutch football player with Moroccan roots.
Career
Souhail Belkassem, the son of Moroccan immigrants, was born in Tegelen, Netherlands, where he also started playing football for the local club SC Irene . In 2014 he moved to the junior division of the second division club Fortuna Sittard . In the senior division, he first played for the reserve team, he was used in the professional squad for the Eerste Divisie in the 2015/16 season . He made his debut in the Dutch 2nd division on November 20, 2015 in the 4-1 loss to Sparta Rotterdam . By the end of the season he made another six games. After Belkassem only played sporadically in Sittard's U-21s in the following season, he moved to the German fifth division club 1. FC Bocholt in the Oberliga Niederrhein in January 2017 . In the summer of 2018 he left the club.
