Soumana Makadji (* 1954 ) is a Malian economist and politician.

Makadji holds a degree in Economics from the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon.

Makadji has worked in overseeing the application of accounting systems in Europe and Africa since 1982. In his last position, he was group leader for Malian computer accounting and auditing.

Soumana Makadji has good experience with system audits of accounting systems and has implemented it in auditing the financing of accounting systems of international organizations in Mali and other African countries. These audits were carried out together with renowned auditing companies and the Groupe Malien d'informatique et d'Audit Comptable. His experience also includes strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, financial analysis, institutional and organizational development, tax and social council. His experience enabled him to work in other countries in the sub-region such as Burkina Faso , Côte d'Ivoire and Sénégal .

On April 25, 2012, he was appointed Minister of Health of Mali in the Diarra cabinet . In addition to his mother tongue, Soumana Makadji speaks French and English.

After being arrested by the military on December 10, 2012, Modibo Diarra made a statement on state television on the morning of December 11, declaring his resignation and the resignation of his entire cabinet.
