The South Bay (English for southern bay ) is, as the name already indicates, the southernmost of the sub-bays of Prince Olav Harbor on the north coast of South Georgia .
The descriptive name probably goes back to scientists from the British Discovery Investigations , who mapped Prince Olav Harbor in 1929.
