The Southern Cross Drive is an urban highway in the east of Sydney in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales . It connects General Holmes Drive in Botany with the Eastern Distributor in Kensington . Thus, together with its connections, it connects Kingsford Smith International Airport with the city center. Originally, the street was built to connect the city's southern and southeastern suburbs with the city center.

Southern Cross Drive begins in the southeastern suburb of Botany on the eastern edge of Sydney Airport. There it branches off from General Holmes Drive (Met-1) to the east. It leads east from Mill Pond . At the Eastlakes Golf Club , which opened in 1969 and is located on both sides of the road, it turns north and meets the Eastern Distributor (Met-1) in Kensington , who continues north towards the city center.
