The Pfortenstrasse sports facility is also available to him for his youth teams .

history

After a few attempts to set up a football club in Fechenheim had failed, this project was put into practice in 1903 with the establishment of Germania 03 .

In 1907, Viktoria 07 , another football club was founded in the same district. As is often the case with neighboring clubs, there was quickly mutual dislike and rivalry between these two clubs. While Germania was based in the south of the district, Viktoria's home was in the north. But the turmoil and hardships of the soon looming First World War enabled the unification of the two clubs, which from then on pooled their strengths under the name Viktoria-Germania 03 football association .

The team of the merged club soon achieved promotion to the Nordmain district league, the top division at the time. There the FVgg was represented in Division II in the 1921/22 season , but could not establish itself in the league and, after a restructuring of the league system for the 1922/23 season, had to accept relegation after only one year.

Soon after relegation, the club received its name Sportvereinigung 03 Fechenheim , which is still valid today . Under the new name, the team managed to return to the top division for the 1927/28 season , which was now known as the District League Main / Hessen . With an almost even balance (with 20-24 the Fechenheimers scored as many points as their neighbor on the other side of the Main , Kickers Offenbach ) successfully managed to stay in the league. But in the following season 1928/29 the team ended up with a balance of only 10-26 points on a relegation zone. Although at the end of the 1929/30 season the immediate resurgence was possible, but just as quickly the team rose again at the end of the 1930/31 season with the devastating record of 2–26 points (one win and 13 defeats).

Until the outbreak of the Second World War , SpVgg 03 was still able to hold its own in the then second-rate district league.

SpVgg 03 was still represented in the second amateur league until the 1950s, but in the long term, given the major regional competition ( Eintracht Frankfurt , FSV Frankfurt , Kickers Offenbach), it was not possible to make it to the top division establish and so the team gradually crashed into the lower football regions.

The 1957/58 season was likely to have been decisive for the crash, when SpVgg 03 played in the fourth class II amateur league Hessen and only failed against TSV Heusenstamm in the fight for promotion to the third class Hessen league at the time . Immediately afterwards the team sold out, which the club could not compensate and which fell into the district class within a few years .

On June 8, 1980, a goal by Klaus Mehler in the decisive game of the district class against DJK Bad Homburg (4: 0) was voted goal of the month .

From the 1992/93 season, the club played again for 4 years in the then fourth-class association league Hessen Süd, until they fell back into the lowest district leagues from the 1996/97 season. In the 2017/18 season they were promoted to the group league (7th division), in which they secured relegation in the 2018/19 season.
