The Sparkasse Feldkirchen is a kärntnerisches banking company based in Feldkirchen and part of the savings bank group in Austria . It was created in 1874 as a club savings bank. The Sparkasse is a member of the cooperation and liability association of the Austrian savings banks and the Austrian savings bank association .

Founding history

On the initiative of the district judge Neckermann and the head of the tax inspectorate Domenig, an association was established in 1874 that set up a foundation fund with contributions from 31 members. The municipality assumed liability for the first expenses. In mid-April 1874, the statutes and the establishment were approved, and the opening followed in early May 1874.

Structural development of the main institute

For the first 5 years the savings bank could be found in the later demolished "Kastellitzhaus" (Hauptplatz-Platzgasse), then in Kirchengasse 5. In 1884, the house at Kirchengasse 20 was bought and after adaptations the savings bank moved. In 1898 the company moved again, this time at Kirchengasse 15. In 1905, a savings bank building was built at Schillerstraße 8 (today: Sparkassenstraße 1a) and in December 1907 they moved into. In 1936 it was renovated and repaired, in 1953 extensively rebuilt, in 1959 a new portal was created, in 1960 the facade was renovated. In 1973 the savings bank building was extensively converted, and in 1991 the counter hall was redesigned. After the fire in 1999, the top floor was expanded with meeting rooms and an event hall in the following year.

This type of deposit still exists today. - 1924 authorization to conduct banking business. - 1952 exchange office authorization. - 1974 establishment of the "car counter". - 1984 First ATM in Feldkirchen / Carinthia. - 1988 Establishment of the self-service zone in the savings bank building. - 1999 fire in the attic of the savings bank building.

- 1886 Construction of cheap apartments for less well off people. - 1974 anniversary donation in the form of the purchase of an ambulance for the Red Cross and donations to public institutions with a total value of ATS 300,000. - 2004 Ongoing support of charitable and social organizations, sports clubs and regional artists.
