The Sparkasse Herzogenburg-Neulengbach Bank Aktiengesellschaft is a Lower Austrian banking company based in Herzogenburg and part of the savings bank group in Austria . It was established in 1980 as a savings bank for associations. The Sparkasse is a member of the cooperation and liability association of the Austrian savings banks and the Austrian savings bank association .
Founding history
In 1859 there was great interest in founding a savings bank due to the strong need for credit in the district, which would also serve as a replacement for the existing orphanage. A first application for approval came to nothing. 1869, an application for establishment of a savings bank foundation was again a savings bank association and the Guarantee Fund with 4,000 fl asked, but the Interior Ministry hesitated because of the low initial capital. The community assumed liability at the end of September 1869 under the condition that it had influence on administration and dedications. In mid-April 1870 the sanctuary of the authority came to the establishment and the statutes. At the end of May 1870 the first general meeting took place in the town hall in Herzogenburg, 40 citizens formed the association.
In July 1870, the Sparkasse opened its doors in Herzogenburg at 6 Kirchengasse.
Structural development of the main institute
On July 1, 1870, the premises of the Sparkasse in Herzogenburg at Kirchengasse 6 were inaugurated, and in 1915 they were expanded and adapted. Major renovations to the Sparkasse building were carried out in 1929. In 1956, they moved to the new building at Rathausplatz 9, and in 1979 the building was expanded and redesigned. In 1993 the savings bank was redesigned into two private centers and one commercial center, and in 2003 the self-service zone was expanded. The main institute was redesigned in 2010, and an event hall was added.
