The S direct insurance corporation (brand self spelling Sparkassen direct insurance , short- S-direct ) is a 1996 established direct insurer based in Dusseldorf . It is a subsidiary of Provinzial Rheinland , the Rhenish savings banks and the public insurers in Lower Saxony.

S-Direkt specializes in car insurance for private customers, but also offers household, personal liability and accident insurance. Legal protection, travel and term life insurance are also sold through cooperation partners. Other brokered products are purchase price insurance, repair cost protection, house and living cover and technology protection.
According to the company, over 220,000 vehicles are insured with S-Direkt (as of September 2, 2019).
Of a total of 173 employees, 88 were employed full-time and 85 part-time.
In 2018, 118 681 000 euros were gross premium income booked.
In 2014, S-Direkt started with a telematics security service (S-Drive).
