Spasme was a Canadian technical death metal band from Val-d'Or that was formed in 1994 and split again in 2001.

history

The band was founded in 1994 in Val-d'Or by JS Ouellette (electric bass) and Mathieu Marcotte (electric guitar). In 1995 they released the Traumatisme demo . Guitarist Yan Chénier joined the band in early 1998. Together they played in the region around Montreal . In June 2000 the band got a new drummer with Damien Hélie and in April 2001 a new singer named Stéphane Soucy. Together they played both local and international appearances. On their first and only album Martin Lacroix (ex- Cryptopsy ) was represented as a singer. The album Deep Inside was released in 2000 on Neoblast Records . The band broke up in October 2001. Some members later joined the band Augury .
