Speaking with the Angel

Speaking With The Angel is a collection of short stories edited by Nick Hornby . In it he brings together twelve texts with different content, written by well-known English-speaking authors such as Irvine Welsh , Helen Fielding , the actor Colin Firth and also by Hornby himself.

The German first edition was published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch in 2001 , the paperback edition was published by Knaur in 2003 . The stories were translated into German by Clara Drechsler and Harald Hellmann, among others .

The editor, Nick Hornby, whose son Danny is Autist , is a founding member of TreeHouse, an English initiative that promotes better school care for autistic children. All proceeds from Speaking With The Angel were donated to the organization.
