Speed of the Stars is a musical project by the two musicians Steve Kilbey (vocals, bass and keyboard) and Frank Kearns (guitar).
history
Front man and bassist Steve Kilbey from the Australian rock group The Church and Frank Kearns guitarist from the Irish band Cactus World News had already got together in the late 1990s to bring together some musical pieces. At that time, however, this material was not banned on any sound carrier. After listening to the old compositions again in 2012, the two musicians decided to turn them into an updated and independent work. Wayne P. Sheehy of Cactus World News and Barton Price on drums made guest appearances. In 2016, the self-titled album Speed of the Stars was finally released . The music was released on the independent label Red Coral Records. Individual songs on the album such as Back Wherever , Autumn Daze or Heliotropic were later also realized as independent videos on YouTube .
