The Speestraße is a street in Trier in the neighborhood South . Shortly before its end, it branches off from Gilbertstrasse and ends like this in a turning hammer . There are a total of six historical cultural monuments in the street , e. B. the historic building at Speestrasse 10 (see picture). Other non-listed buildings in the street can also be dated to this era.
It is named after Friedrich Spee von Langenfeld , who died in Trier in 1635 and was a professor of moral theology at Trier University and Paderborn University . The street has been named after him since 1901.
