Spella tells stories was a German-language magazine for art and literature . It was founded in Berlin in 2007 . The editors published narrative prose in each issue . In addition, one artist per issue had the opportunity to present his work in a retrospective. The design and shape of the Spella therefore differed with each new publication.

Spella tells stories was published four times a year with around 80 pages in four-color printing and was available in newsagents, in train station bookshops and on the Internet. The edition was around 4,000 copies.

The authors included a. Jörg Albrecht , Gesine Danckwart , Katharina Franck , Myriam Keil , Daniel Klaus , Martin Kluger , Sven Lager , Kai Gero Lenke , Martin Rauhaus , Tim Staffel and Inge Viett . Gitte Schäfer , Peter K. Koch , Juju's Delivery and Rothstauffenberg were present as artists .
