Spencer Dryden

Spencer Dryden (born April 7, 1938 in New York City , † January 10, 2005 in Penngrove, California ) was an American drummer.

Life

Spencer Dryden grew up in Los Angeles as the son of actor Wheeler Dryden , who was a half-brother of actor and director Charlie Chaplin . From 1966 to 1970 he was a member of the US rock formation Jefferson Airplane as a drummer and participated, among other things, on the album Volunteers , which is considered one of the most important rock LPs of the late 1960s.
