Spencer Johnson

Spencer Johnson (born November 24, 1938 in Watertown , South Dakota , † July 3, 2017 in San Diego , California ) was an American author, especially of advisory literature , speaker, consultant and management expert. He is best known for his fable The Mouse Strategy for Managers , which was on the New York Times bestseller list.

Life

Johnson studied psychology at the University of Southern California until 1963 and then received his PhD from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland . He later worked as the medical director of communications at Medtronic , known for their pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, heart valves and insulin pumps. He was also a research doctor at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies . His last book was ups and downs . Johnson's books have been translated into 26 languages.
