Spencer Ross

Spencer Ross (born July 4, 1981 in Chesapeake , Virginia ) is a retired American basketball player .

career

The 1.81 m tall and 83 kg heavy point guard played in his home country at the Queens University of Charlotte . He played there from 2002 to 2004 and achieved an average of 22.6 points per match in 62 missions. He was named Player of the Year for the 2003/04 season in the second NCAA division by the Basketball Times newspaper . He moved to ES Chalon-sur-Saône in the first division of France (Pro A) as a professional basketball player in 2004 , to join Horsens IC in Denmark in 2005 , with whom he won the championship title in 2006, on the way to the title on average 25.5 points per match and was named the best development player of the 2005/06 season in the Danish league by the basketball service eurobasket.com .

For the 2006/07 season he moved to the basketball league at TBB Trier , where his contract was dissolved in October 2006. He had scored an average of 3.4 points per game for Trier in five Bundesliga appearances.

From August 2007 Spencer Ross played again at Horsens IC in Denmark. In the 2008/2009 season he played only eight league games due to knee surgery. In the spring 2009 season, the playmaker was in the service of Grand Rapids Flight in the US IBL league. In the run-up to the 2009/10 season he was signed by the Danish first division club Aabyhøj IF, at the end of August 2009 the contract was terminated due to persistent knee problems, Ross had not played a competitive game for the Danish team until then.
