Spenzer
A tight-fitting, waist-length jacket for women and men is called a Spenzer . The name is said to go back to the inventor, George Spencer, 2nd Earl Spencer . Different spellings are Spencer or Spenser. In earlier epochs and still today in traditional costumes , the term was also used generally for jackets.
Spenzers are common in gastronomy and as evening wear for uniforms .
As a women's underwear, a Spenzer is a tight-fitting, short top that you can slip on.
In fashion, the Barmann-Spenzer is a waist-short women's and men's jacket in the look of a vest, with fabric ties on the back.
