Bibersfeld is a district of Schwäbisch Hall in the district of the same name in northeast Baden-Württemberg .

location

The formerly independent community of Bibersfeld is located on the Bibers in the so-called rose garden , a landscape on both sides of the small river in the southwest of Schwäbisch Hall.

history

The manor once belonged to the von Morstein family and was formerly limpurgic . From the 16th century it was Hällisch and was under the authority of the rose garden in the state territory of the imperial city of Hall .

The Bibersfeld church "St. Margaretha" was a branch church of Westheim until 1350 . Mr. von Neuenstein is the founder (1350). The inauguration of the new parish church took place in 1407. In 1869 a new building was inaugurated, whereby the medieval east tower was integrated.

Lost buildings are a castle, the "moat" of which is documented in 1415. A chapel to "St. Agatha" with a brother house is also occupied.

After the imperial city was dissolved and the Hall territories were taken over by Württemberg in 1802, the community belonged to the newly established Württemberg Oberamt Hall , from which the Hall district emerged in 1934 and the Schwäbisch Hall district in 1941 .

On the occasion of the community reform, the community was finally incorporated into the city of Schwäbisch Hall on June 1, 1972.

The community of Bibersfeld also included:

  • Hamlet Hagenbach (Hagenbuch): A local nobility is documented there in the 13th century. It was a branch of the Schultheiss family from Schwäbisch Hall. The Burgplatz is unknown.
  • Weiler Starkholzbach : There is an abandoned castle of the Lords of Starkelsbach (1386).
  • Hamlet Hohenholz
  • Sittenhardt
  • Wielandsweiler
