strategy
SDIC mainly buys small residential portfolios in German cities. The housing stock is mainly in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Cologne and Frankfurt, as well as in northern and western Germany.

In December 2011, the SDIC went bankrupt. A real estate portfolio with around 3,000 residential and 80 commercial properties, mainly in Berlin, is being sold as a NOAH portfolio to the British investment manager Benson Elliot Capital Management and the German Wertgrund Immobilien. The larger HAWK portfolio with over 22,000 residential units is to be sold to the investment company Cerberus Capital Management . to be sold for 900 million euros.
