Bad Steben casino

The Bad Steben casino is a casino in Bad Steben in Upper Franconia . It was designed by the architect Meinhard von Gerkan and inaugurated on March 23, 2001 as the last of a total of nine Bavarian casinos . The winning design was chosen from among 255 participants after an open, two-stage competition in November 1997. The building volume of around 20,000 m³ BRI , which is atypical of the location, is distributed under seven wave-shaped, mutually offset roofs that lie next to each other in a ribbon structure . The construction costs amounted to about 22 million German marks .
