The Spielwies'n is an annual consumer fair and game festival for board and parlor games in Munich. It was first held in 1991 and now always takes place on a weekend in November. With over 55,000 visitors (2011), it is one of the largest games events in the German-speaking world, alongside the games festival in Vienna .

The focus of visitor interest is the opportunity to try out innovations and classics from the board and card game market on site. In addition, all the important game publishers and several retailers are represented with stands. Game clubs such as the German Go Association complete the offer. The game designers guild has also had a stand since 2005 . The children's play area in particular has grown significantly in recent years thanks to the participation of Munich clubs such as the city play area , the educational campaign, spielkultur and others.

Since 2008 the Spielwies'n has been taking place together with other trade fairs in the MOC event center in Munich under the umbrella of Freizeitspaß , in order to appeal to a larger target group. The Forscha trade fair wants to get children and young people interested in technical professions. From 2008 to 2013 the creative fair was also under the umbrella of Freizeitspaß. It is aimed at hobbyists and hobby fashion designers and offers numerous innovations and opportunities to participate and will take place in a different setting from 2015.

The International Game Days in Essen are much larger with around 150,000 visitors , although they not only include board games, but also computer games, construction toys and comic action .
