Spijkstaal
Spijkstaal Elektro BV is a Dutch company that produces commercial vehicles with electric drives .
The Spijkenisse- based company produces around 500 vehicles a year and employs around 75 people. Products range from small transport vehicles used in factories to small buses. Spijkstaal was founded in 1938. In the early days mainly vehicles for the delivery of milk and sales cars were produced. For milk delivery, see: Milk float .
Together with the Italian company BredaMenarinibus , Spijkstaal developed an electrically powered bus called ZEUS (Zero Emission Urban System) for 32 passengers, which reaches a top speed of 35 km / h and has a battery capacity that is sufficient for 4 to 5 hours of operation; the battery can be charged within a few minutes.
Vehicles in the film
The mobile supermarket used in the Flodder films is an SRV car from Spijkstaal.
The 1966 concept of the SRV car was handed over to Springer & Partners in 1995.
