The Spiller Cove is a small cove on the north coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located immediately west of Black Point and is a side bay of Porlier Bay .
The name of the bay can be found in the records of the British seal hunter Robert Fildes (1793-1827). It is probably named after Ferdinand Spiller, captain of the ship Indian from Liverpool , which operated in the waters around the South Shetland Islands between 1820 and 1821 and later brought Fildes' crew, stranded on Desolation Island, back to England.
